Unsolved: Reno teen killed in 2012 remains 'forever 17'.

She remembers stepping in a pool of her youngest child’s blood.

It was like a nightmare, 49-year-old Deana Connelly said. She was trapped in a horrendous dream and she couldn’t shake herself out of it.

She remembers looking at a gunshot wound and touching Ryan’s chest, begging him to speak.

“Don’t leave me!” She shouted, hugging him. “Breathe, Ryan. You can do this. It’s Mama. I’m here, Ryan.”

But, in the late hours of July 7, 2012, the 17-year-old wouldn’t wake up.

Almost five years later, Ryan’s death remains unsolved.
